General Contractors Section Meeting

 

Matthew Mallam, General Contractors Section Chair will be hosting a section meeting on Wednesday, May 15 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.

 

 

 

 

The guest speaker for this session will be Thomas Munn, Cox & Palmer.  He will be discussing Delay Claims. By reputation “notice of delay” remains shrouded as if it were a rule to be followed only for the rule’s own sake. In this seminar, Thomas Munn, Associate with Cox & Palmer, will share legal knowledge and practical information pertaining to effective contract negotiation, the risk associated with proposed contract provisions and practical guidelines for all parties to avoid protracted litigation.

 

The Meeting Agenda items will include:

  • Bidding & Tendering “Disrupters” and respective impacts (Design Build Proposals; Presentations or
    “Pitches”; Pubic Private Partnerships; Design-Bid-Build)
  • Construction Management Software
  • Skilled Trade Shortages for Subcontractors

  • Gold Seal online exam
